My favourite thing about being a pet parent is always having playmates that never really get tired. Their company is amazing. I love the way they run to tug at my clothes and jump at me whenever I get home. Pets are so entertaining and 1 find myself sheepishly smiling at the weird things they do.
For instance, my youngest Maltese, Billie cries if I don’t let him lick my feet when he sees me first thing in the morning,
Clifford is always eager to escape so it’s a constant job of trying to keep him grounded,
Jayric on the other hand always wants to play and he doesn’t take no for an answer.
While Coco is unusually quiet these days, I wonder if its maturity or preparation for a bigger energy later
And then there’s Riley, she’s very people shy, an introvert dog. I always assumed all dogs are extroverts since my other 4 dogs are extroverts, but then in came until, Riley, as a puppy she snorted and cried a lot when I carried her, now that she’s grown she runs away from people, she avoids eye contact and is happy to spend her day alone. It feels like she’s maintaining her nature from birth while the same can’t be said for Clifford, He slept a lot as a puppy but nowadays he does everything but sleep, talk about metamorphosing into something different
There are days when they become so naughty and I can’t really take it but they listen when and they know that when I raise the tone of my voice, it’s time for them to stop and be calm it’s a boot camp of some sort, or should I say “paw camp”.
